Frostitude Frost DK

Post  Frostitude on 10/9/2012, 05:32

About Me

character/kazzak/Frostitude/advanced

Hello, my name is Nizar I'm a 18 years old. I'm an level headed person and very mature when it comes to both my life, and this game. Hopefully I would be able to prove this to you both through this application and also maybe a trial period.

I live and go to college in The Netherlands. I speak Dutch, English fluently, and a little bit of French and German. Currently I play a Frost dk as main. I used to be a Prot paladin but during firelands i changed to holy for the benefit of the guild as we were running very low on healers. I fell in love however with my frost dk that I really enjoy raiding on.

I'm very flexible; I dont mind learning new specs/classes if needed but right now frost is really what I want to do. The reason i'm leaving my current guild is not only because their progress is not what i would like it to be also there is a lot of drama from various guild members. I prefer to raid in a drama free environment where people aren't so obsessed with loot, I would much rather be able to have fun and enjoy myself within a guild of likeminded people than those that chase purple epics.

I love to learn and do so quickly. I always take on board critisism or tips, and sometimes spend hours reading through patch notes/logs/guides to try and improve my DPS and raid awareness even if it's only a small improvement.

Characters at max level

DK - character/kazzak/frostitude/simple
Shaman- character/kazzak/rlsgg/simple
Paladin - character/azuremyst/Nizar/simple
Druid - character/azuremyst/Grandpapa/simple
Mage - character/azuremyst/Nerfin/simple
Warrior - character/azuremyst/Aggrowhoré/simple

Any of these could be transferred over for alt raids if needed. I love leveling and mastering all my charactars, i have no problem at all switching mains aslong as i’m going comfortable and able to get max dps/hps out of the class.

Why I think that you should take me:
CoreCrew should accept me into their guild because not only do I take raiding seriously when needed, I love having jokes on the side as I think a fun nice atmosphere is the most important thing in raiding because who else can you progress better with than friends?

I learn very fast, My first heroic guild that i proggressed with in Firelands(Hc) and Dragonsoul(Hc) is Teenage Mutant Ninja Trolls in Kazzak. We achieved 7/6(HC) in FL and 8/7(Hc) in DS i got ranked atleast once on every fight except for Hagara(Hc) and MoDW(Hc) some fights top i landed in the top 10 on WoL and some top 50/100
I enjoyed raiding with them it was a guild filled with very good and at the same time fun people. Unfortunately the guild fell apart after we got 7/8hc this was about a 1½ months after Ds got released. This is why i’m looking for a new guild to continue with in MoP. And have some awesome raid experience with.

About my Spec, talents and stat priority.

I'm using a spec that omits Epidemic in favour of speccing into improved Blood Tap. This allows me to have much more Runic Power being generated throughout a fight and more frost strikes. Although it may be hard to keep diseases up on the target at all times when not specced into epidemic, it gives more single target DPS. Although if a fight needed me to respec for the extra AOE damage and freedom of not having to watch diseases as closely, I would be happy to do so. But this is soon all going to be outdated.

For stat priority it will always be haste. As long as I have my hit and expertise cap. Everybody loves a nice RIME and Killing Machine proc.

Experience in vanilla WoW:

I played a rogue through vanilla up until mid-wrath. I raided Kharazan, Mount Hyjal, Black Temple, Gruul's Lair and Serpentshrine. During Wrath I stopped playing and came back a few months before Cataclysm.
Addons:

DBM
Power Auras
Omen Threat Meter
OmniCC
Recount
TidyPlates
Loads of Power Auras to track cooldowns and procs to help perfect my DPS rotation and managing cooldowns.

But this is soon all going to be outdated.

Are you aware of the patch that has been out for a few weeks now?

You talk about logs but havn't actually linked any for us to look at which is slightly disappointing.

I understand that you were very young when vanilla was current and might not have any specific raid experience from that time but looking at all the chars you have posted above you dont really have any remarkable raiding experience during cata either.

Without proper experience its hard for us to tell how you will react in a group were there's none to tell you what to do. However if you would have some remarkable logs to show for there would be a reason to give it a thought.

i've just returned so i'm still adjusting a little to all the changes. But i totally agree. it's sad that my old ranks got outdated and didn't think about screenshotting them when i just achieved them. But i can still get LFR logs. It's true i don't have alot of heroic raiding experience. Only in FL and DS actually. But i always push myself to fit in and to sqeeuze every single .1DPS because i do love to be on top of the charts. i'm going to get some logs and update my APP some more. Thanks for taking the time to read my APP and reply. Smile

Sounds good. Some more logs would definately be nice.

Althought he lacks some exp. It sounds like his attitude and mindsett is in order.
I think it is reason enought for bringing him to mumble for a chat. Specially if he can provide some decent logs.

This might help.

Couple of questions,

Why are you mentioning old talents and spec to us? Can you please tell us more about your current talent and glyph choices, what you might change depending on certain encounter mechanics etc.

You keep mentioning that you are willing to play another class as your main, but you also say that you dont want to play anything other than frost dk at the moment? Which is it?

Sure thing, The reason i'm mentioning old talents is because that's what i used in in FL and DS i haven't raided in patch 5.0.X and to be completely honest i'm still camping at the training dummys trying every single new talent/glyph and i'm still researching the internet on how the update affected DK's and what is going to be the best possible spec/glyph combination.

I'm really sorry for the misunderstanding there. i made the application with google translate to get a clean understandable guild application. i guess it did the opposite.
I am however willing to change to another class/spec. What i tried to explain in my application is that i got the most ranks with my DK but am able to master other classes as i'm constantly playing most of my classes.

Not really. Ive compared it to my old logs from our old server and its fairly lower then what I did as an os dps. If any new logs would show a high increased dmg there could be something to talk about as I said, otherwise I dont think anyone would be interested in a mumble chat as it would be wasting peoples time if the dps output isnt there.

Finally feel comfortable about the talents/glyphs and i now know what i'm going to spec into. It's very nice that you're outdpsing me as an OS Livvy but you cannot measure dps output like that. Neither can you prove who would be the better dpser. Alot of fights i had to do multiple other tasks because my ex GM was convinced i had the best movement and dps capabilities. for instance, on Zonnoz i had to run to the furthest tentacle to kill it and then go to the one next to it to help the weakest RDPS. On Yor'sahj i wasn't aloud to AoE because i was needed for single target dps. We had a strong AoE Rdps team (Costing me alot of dps) on Hagara i had to taunt the boss and run away during his electric discharge (gaining attackspeed and dealing magical damage) and on ultraxion i was able to dps standing still but had to watch my treath alot wich ofcourse is raiding 101 but after the tank changes they had made i don't know if that was supposed to happend. Anyway the last thing i would want to do is waste anyone's time so i'm hereby withdrawing my application.

Fair enough Frostitude, for what it's worth I quite liked your explanation. It's disappointing to see you withdraw but, I guess we are a guild where criticism is not sugar-coated and you would probably get upset quite quickly if you are that sensitive.

Thank you for the application and good luck else where

Remember wherever you apply in the future that jumping in even in a lfr and logging will give the people trying to figure you out much more to go on and a more accurate side of your dps. Which is what I've been trying to tell you all along.
Best of luck in the future I'm sure you will find something that suits you.
