Priest application - Kitsie Empty Priest application - Kitsie

Post  Kitsie 11/8/2012, 03:04

Section 1 - About me

Where do I live?
Scotland, Edinburgh (Born in Poland)

How old am I?
22

Female/Male?
Male

What times am I normally online?
Pretty much most days in the afternoon/ evening time. I work five days a week, finish work at 4 pm, so I have time on most days apart from when I'm spending time with my missus.

Is there anything that may affect my playing time?
I will become a father at the end of this year, which might make me a little less available, at least until the first few months of the new born baby are behind me. I should still be able to attend at least 2 raids then.

Am I able to speak, write and understand English for ventrilo and in game communication. And do you own a mic and use it?
I am able to write, speak and understand English. I do have a mic and I know how to use it, but I tend to stay quiet unless I have something useful to say.

Section 2 - My Char

Name of my char?
Kitsie

My class?
Priest

My armory link?
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/kazzak/Kitsie/simple

My preferred talent spec and why?
I usually play as Holy as most of the hardmodes require strong aoe healing. I also have strong experience as Holy as I played holy since the World of Warcraft was released. However i have a Discipline or Shadow offspec for certain fights. I feel comfortable in both.

What are my professions and why?
Enchanting/Herbalism. Enchanting is just so versatile and useful for both enchanting my own gear and making money. I was a Jewelcrafter for a while but dropped it for Herbalism in MoP, which I am currently levelling just now to max it out before expansion comes out.

Section 3 - My wow experience

How long have I played wow?
Since 2 months after EU release.

What is the /played time on my char/chars?
I have no idea as I don't have the first priest I used to play on alliance side. On all of them I would go for about 350 days played.

Have I ever stopped wow previously and why?
I did in between end of Vanilla WoW and start of Burning Crusade when i was moving to another country.
I also stopped playing when Cata was released as my working hours didn't allow me to enjoy the game much, which has now changed.

What is my previous raiding experience? (please add details)
-Vanilla WoW: ZG,MC,BWL,AQ20, AQ40 up to twins (Alliance Priest)
-TBC: Everything up to Twins in Sunwell (pre LoLpatch) (Alliance Priest)
At the end of TBC i rerolled to a horde priest, which I leveled up from scratch, to play with some of my real life friends.
-Wotlk: Everything up to Anubarrak on Heroic mode 25 (Thats including all hardmodes in Ulduar apart from Yogg -0 but including Algalon 25). Stopped playing at that point due to working hour being changed. (Horde Priest)
-Cata: I have casually done few of the first instances and recently joined few random runs to Fireland and Dragon Soul, but I haven't had a chance to raid much in Cataclysm.

How many guilds have I been in and why did I leave these guilds?
-I honestly cannot recall my Vanilla WoW guild, i think it was Ramp on Darksorrow server. I have left them when i was moving to United Kingdom.
-In Burning Crusade i was raiding with Heroic on Neptulon as a priest named Emilka. I also had a shot in Furious, but i decided to roll horde side to play with my irl friends.
-In Wotlk i did play in Deja Vu until Neptulon fell apart. Then I moved to Jaedenar where I played with Flare EU throughout Wotlk until I had to stop due to work issues.
-I recently came back in Cata and noticed that Jaedenar seems to be drastically declining server with not much going on. A shadow to its glory days. Thats why I have decided to look for a better future on a more populated, PVE orientated server.

Section 4 - Why you?

Do I know anyone in Core Crew?
Unfortunately no, I do not know anyone on this server.

Why did I chose to apply to Core Crew and how did I hear about you?
I was looking at Kazzak wowprogress site and your guild struck me as something I am looking for. You raid times suit me perfectly too.

Why should you invite me, what can I offer you?
After playing Priest for over 5 years now I think I can say I am an experienced player. I know my class and I know what I'm doing while playing it. I know my role in raids and I'm trying to fulfill it the best I can. I do not panic in tough situations and I adapt to new strategies fast, even during the same fight. I am also a nice person who does not whine and knows how to listen. And last but not least, I am able to stand out of colorful stuff on the floor.

Just to inform you. We only need ranged dps.

Seems like a good guy. Long exp, althought nothing cutting egde.
But staying priest for 5 years probably means he can master it.

A SP would be nice for the rooster.

Thoughts ?

We have a rooster!?! w00t

Decent application but a little lacking in the raid experience, and obviously the baby on the way will get in the way of wow-time.. surely something we'll have to consider.

I believe wit is the biggets rooster in the guild.

Kitsie could you link the armory of the char(s) you have played most
One thing that strikes me as odd is the amount of points you have on this one and the ilvl. Usually people pur effort into gearing before points.

About the raid days. During progress we will have sunday raids which is our third raid day as we see fit. As if we need to clear something we will do this then or if we want some extra time on some heroic mode etc. This means that there wont always be a third day but when there is we do need our players to attend. As our schdule is pretty casual already. My question is how this affects you.

As your experience and gear is on the lowside but you know the class you want to play, the easiest way for us to see if you have what we are looking for - is if you could post some logs. You could even log a LFR preferably as shadow but it doesnt hurt to see your holy spec played aswell.

Regards
Liv

My other characters have not been touched since wotlk, they are:
One of my higher level alts
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/sporeggar/Lyyliam/simple
This was my alt during vanilla wow, havent played it much since then.
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/frostmane/Elchiki/simple
They are spread over different servers as I transferred them during free migrations available, when servers were getting empty.
My alliance priest which i raided on throughout vanilla and TBC does not exist anymore im afraid

I have always been into achievment points, somewhat my OCD you could say. I always take good care of my gear. Seeing as i only came back a week and a half ago I didnt see much point getting into a fever over getting quickly some top end gear, since when MoP comes out its all gonna be quickly useless anyway. IF that makes sense.

In worst case you can look at this application as a sort of MoP raiding app, im not necessarily looking to raid straight away because I realise my gear is not up to DS heroic standard just now.

I cant see how my raiding experience is a downside unless you are referring to raiding in Cataclysm. Raiding is all I have been doing ever since I joined my first raid to Molten Core. And I have pretty much cleared almost everything in each expansion, missing out sometimes on a couple of last bosses (which I did kill after a number of nerfs, which I did not include as I did not see it as something I should be bragging about)

Every expansion there are number of changes in the way mechanics work and I have always found it easy to adapt to new things. I dont see a problem with getting used to Cata, which will be revamped soon when MoP comes out anyway. Im very flexible and I learn very quick.

I should also mention that I do play shadow sometimes and I have it as an offspec for some fights if necessary but I do rather stay Holy as my main spec. IF that is not something that you are interested in then I don't think I would like to play as shadow primarily. I dont think it is that entertaining and Im not looking to raid for the sake of it, I am looking to enjoy it too by playing the way I like.

@ the applicant - decent app, we will certainly think about it. Tad disappointed that for a Scot you couldnae spell 'colourful'.

We dont have much colour here, its all mostly gray. All fifty shades of it. I rarely use that word, thats why I might have misspelled it.

Colorful is still a correct spelling though, just American way, not British.

Cheers for clearing that up that makes much more sense. I was under the impression that you had been playing on this priest the past 2-3 months.

The main reason to why I asked for logs is because I see your char as a mop one. I'm happy with your application and the next step is to see what you go for when playing. However as you said your char isnt ready for hc or more importantly - if I threw you in one of our raids the only way for me to see if you are good or not wont be the meters it will be by logging you and seeing what you actually are doing. And this is something you can do in a lfr in both specs.

As we mainly are interested in dpsers I have to ask if you only want to raid as a healer and if priest is the only class you would be interesed in playing in mop.

@ wit I like that you spelled couldn't wrong makes it extra awsome. american language hater Razz

Thank you, I am afraid healing is what I am into and it will not change. I have tried being a full time dpser in the past and did not find it as enjoyable.

Thank you guys for all the feedback and I wish you all the best in MoP.
