Rephlexes - Warrior DPS/Protection

Morning Core Crew,

First of all I want to introduce myself. My name is Fredrik and I'm 20 years old, I currenly live in Sweden and I'm unemployed which means I play all the time.

I've been around in WoW for a long time but never had the chance to play for a top guild even tho I have the capacity to be in one, sadly I were allowed to play for 2 hours per day when I lived home with my stepfather and as you all know 2 hours is nothing if you want to progress or anything other than that.
Today me and my mom lives in an apartment and I control my gaming times by myself, I usually sit 12-14 hours per day (a big advantage while being in a good guild). So sadly I can't provide any previous raiding experience, but you'll be suprised if you trial me and give me a test raid.

I've been busting my ass of since the release to gear up and I'm finally done for DPS gear (Full HC gear, enchanted, reforged and gemmed). I'm about to finish my tank gear aswell, at this point writing I have 11 pieces for my tank spec but still a few to go. I need to enchant, reforge and gem that gear aswell but it's not needed for now.

These days warriors requires alot of crit which is their mainstat this expansion but in the same time you need to prio your stats which is Hit/Expertise cap til 7,5% > Crit > Strength > Mastery > Haste. If you're hit and expertise capped you can go all out on crit gems to maximize your damage which clearly shows at boss fights.

Our rotation ain't that hard either, basically you use Raging Blow and Bloodthirst when avaible, pool rage before Colossus Smash and hopefully you'll get Bloodsurge procs to use Wild Strike's during this phase and Bloodbath ontop of that, preferably a Heroic Leap in the middle of that if possible.
Use damage increasing CD's in the start if possible, for an example the 4th boss in Mogu'Shan Vaults where the fight goes on for some time. I time my banner with bloodlust to increase the damage for everyone else in the raid.

Just to mention I've been playing Warrior since the vanilla release but never on a high level, so I have insight in my character and role. Therefor no logs at all.

https://imgur.com/7hywJ This is my UI and I'm comfortable with it. I've been using those keybinding since forever if it's your interest in keybindings. There's also 2 frames above Grid that's not visible while not being in a raid, but it's maintank frames to keep control of the health and if I need to Safeguard them (Could be very important).


Additional information:

I'm a kind and helpful guy who puts the guild needs in prior, I know my class inside out and I'm always, ALWAYS, prepared for raiding due to the time I have to prepare myself and in the same time I expect everyone else to do the same and bring it to the table so to speak. I hope you'll look past my bad experience back then, planning to build a new one for now.
There might be spelling issues here and there but I have an excuse, I'm dyslectic.

A good written apply. Not to much information tho. But a good apply nontheless.

However without any raid experience or logs to prove his worth something its a big risk to take this guy on during progression.

Thoughts ?

It's well written indeed, and you seem somewhat knowledgeable and confident about your class.

Dedication to get fully geared quickly is a plus, however it would be nice to see the ui in combat in a raid or the very least a party environment.

I know that the experience is a bit of an issue because I can't really prove that I'm a good player in a raiding environment.

Not providing logs is an issue aswell and I'm aware of that, I did raid with Circle of Light during WotLK (One of the leading guilds on Outland) but they disbanded right before cataclysm. Can't really find any logs from this guild, not sure if they saved it or something.


I did DS hc yesterday, unfortunately I didn't get a screenshot during that time. I'll see what I can do today and I'll probably come up with an SS later today if possible.

It's a tough one, the application is well thought out albeit skimming over a few sections, you mentioned you have key binds but what binds are they?

You say you know your class inside and out, my question is your playing as 2H Fury, is 1H Fury not currently higher damage output?

What is it that makes you think you are capable of raiding in a high end guild if you've never experienced it or experienced anything even close to Top 500-1000 guild raiding? The only 'Circle of Light' i could find with any sort of progress during T11 was on a different server, i was assuming they moved, but they were ranked at mid 40,000 world wide. Can you remember what the highest ranking you've ever been in as a guild?

Alright, I'll try to go through it as much as I can.

Circle of Light were one of the top guilds on that specific server, some of the core moved to another server (might be Daggerspine or something like that) and therefor we ended up disbanding on Outland. I don't know the world wide ranking to be honest, could be something like that.

As my thoughts of being a top raider requires discipline, dedication and able to listen to the language spoken in the guild. In the meantime you need to be able to move quick, responsive, take critisicm and make something good out of it but also be able to give critisicm and ideas.

This is my first time actually going Fury as a mainspec, I've been trying 1H and 2H during heroics and 2H seems to be the best choice avaible for now, 1H is worth to spec with better gear (need to try it out in new content aswell and see the difference of it). But you're correct when saying that 1H gives more overall DPS but it requires gear aswell, not like 2H were you can go all out with heroic gear and still do a decent amount of damage.

Bindings on the bottom action bar: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, E, T, Q, F, X, Z, G, Shift+X/V, §, Shift+F/E/G.


The raid UI is not that different compared to what you see now. Grid will increase with 9 more frames for 10 man and 24 more frames for 25 man.
Above the Grid frame it'll pop up 2-3-4 tank frames to see who's the main tank for easier targetting and Safeguard charge. To the right of the tank frames you'll see their targets.

To the right of my own frame it'll be a frame of the mob/player I target and their target + target of target + a focus frame.

You seem to have a very big recount window. Do you do alot of dps?

And threat?

Doing big numbers really depends on how the fight looks, for an example the first boss in Mogu'Shan. Alot of movement and switching target which results in a DPS loss, but overall I'm quite happy with my DPS laying around at 45-75k.
Big numbers like 100k+ is shown during AoE packs, stronk warrior is stronk.


Having Omen3 is mainly for Tanking to make sure everyone is below me in Threat, can be used as an insurance for DPSing on a fight or two. I feel naked with small windows.

I get an overall check while being able to watch how everyone else is doing on the meters, if I need to step up a bit etc.

Yeah I agree, only need to step up if the arcane mages are sniffing in my butt on the DPS/Threat meters.

There's 1 rule for a warrior: Never let a mage win a race in the DPS/Threat meters.

I wish we had 150k crits non-stop aswell, damn mages.

Unless payed for logs only stays on the worldoflogs for 4 weeks.

Next reset as heroic raiding starts, lfr will also be availible. Thats were you should aim to log yourself in order to give information about your dps to us.

I personally havn't had time to read your application yet but skimmed through our raiders replies. As we are quite a strong group wihtout proof of proper dps I wont sit out a raider to look at potentials. However if the dps is there we will take on potentials and see how they work in our raiding environment, aka trial if the application matches the player.
If you are lucky you might be able to get some raider to join in for the lfr this week.

Absolutely, I understand your situation at this point due to being a 10 man guild. I'll be going Mogu'Shan Vaults today and LFR as soon it's released.

I've never been logging myself, but I'll do my best!


EDIT: I need to be in a guild on the website to get a log going and sadly I don't think Clan Royale are using WoL.. Any ideas?

EDIT 2: Found it, going to try it for tonight and see if it works.

Alright, an update regarding the situation here.

Went to Mogu'Shan Vaults with Clan Royale today and I'm pretty dissapointed to be honest. We had people who barely can handle the situation and still not learning, tanks are very slow to react which means I have to run around the annoying bullshit on the floor to even maintain my DPS in 90 % of these trys.

However upon looking throught the logs it seems clear that you will not be able to meet the standards we are looking for. Both in overall dps, and burst.

I realise this is only some partial tries. However there are many points that leads to my conclucion that you simply wont meet our standards.
